TRIBUNE TOWER
A dream comes true for DMID as we take on another project in this iconic building! Our world-traveling clients were searching for the perfect downtown pied-et-terre to call their home away from home. With an already beautiful backdrop from the recent Tribune Tower renovations, it was our job to bring our client’s personality into the space and create unique details. The design aesthetic is bright and modern while still honoring the traditional architecture of the Tribune Tower.

First impressions are everything and an entryway foyer sets the tone for the essence and soul of any home. We added some drama to the space with a dark painted custom wall paneling detail + custom artwork from Roderick Hidalgo to add some playfulness to the space.
LIVING ROOM
With an already perfect backdrop of the Chicago River and skyline, we created a custom ornamental plaster ceiling detail to draw your eye up. Adding modern pyramid door + metal accented built-in’s on either side of the existing fireplace. This layout includes two opposing EnVie sectionals with a pop of color and patterned rug to ground the space.

When clients ask for a soft and serene bedroom, we deliver! The headboard wall is grounded by a custom designed wall mural painted by a local Chicago artist. Every fabric and material in this space adds to the luxurious beauty of the space.
