MICHIGAN HIDDEN LAKES RESIDENCE

It was love at first site for this project in the works. Modern architecture, a stunning setting, and a first-class design team have come together to create this very special home. Meant to immerse the owners and their guests into the wooded views of wetlands and a golf course, Lucid Architecture, an award-winning architectural firm, has designed the perfect home that is both understated and grand. We came on board early in the process to ensure the interiors match the integrity of the architecture. Just wait until you see how DMID does modern!

MAIN level
floor plan

We love an expansive and open floorpan. This allows us to design spaces that have their own unique feel while ensuring a cohesiveness and flow. Striking finishes like steel, concrete and wood enhance the space and we’re hoping our clients are loving the lighting fixtures in brass with reeded or hand-blown glass.

THE KITCHEN

Our owner has always admired her grandmother’s blue kitchen, so we’re channeling that color scheme in our kitchen plans. The elevation here shows wooden cabinets for the island with perimeter cabinets in an earthy shade of blue. Reeded glass cabinets add extra privacy and texture.

POWDER ROOM

Earthy textures are on tap for this powder room. Our initial specifications are terrazzo Italian flooring and a honed soapstone countertop with an integrated sink. Our pendant lighting in black walnut and brass perfectly round out the space and beautifully bring together the earthy look we’re going for.

MASTER BATHROOM

It’s always nice when the master bathroom can be a showstopper. Here we have the perfect space plan for our client’s bathroom which is connected to his and her private closets. The whole master suite is in it’s own private wing, separate from the rest of the home. Now that’s something to come home to!
