stylish sanctuary

Our discerning client sought an inviting and joyful sanctuary for herself and her teenage daughters. Given her impeccable sense of style, our goal was to infuse the interiors with a level of sophistication that matches her own. Overcoming the obstacle of standard, newly-built finishes in the building, we aimed to create a truly distinctive and luxurious atmosphere, ensuring a design that reflects her individuality and exudes a unique allure.

One of the key challenges we faced was working with the standard building finishes and finding ways to elevate the interiors to make them truly stand out for the future owners. As the model unit, it already had some beautiful elements, but it lacked the personality, drama, and that elusive “je ne sais quoi” that transforms a space into a one-of-a-kind home. Our goal was to inject character and uniqueness into the design, ensuring the space not only felt luxurious but also deeply personal and distinctive.

I'm especially proud of how we incorporated artwork and lighting to transform the space. We collaborated with some of our favorite artists throughout the home, adding depth and character. The Roderick Hildago piece in the foyer is particularly captivating, with its rich texture and finish, creating a stunning first impression. In the primary bedroom, we commissioned two large pieces from Zoe Pawlak, which harmonize beautifully with the room’s finishes yet stand out as striking focal points.

Another standout element is our approach to curating furnishings from around the globe, giving the interiors a truly unique and worldly feel. We thoughtfully mixed high-end pieces with more budget-friendly selections, achieving a balance between luxury and practicality without compromising on style or quality.

This project truly touched my heart. The client shared how much this home has meant to her and her daughters, expressing how deeply impactful it has been for them. Hearing how the space we created has brought beauty and comfort to their lives was incredibly rewarding. It’s one of the most meaningful compliments I’ve ever received, and it reinforced the emotional connection design can create.
