We’re excited to add another sate to the DMID portfolio with a new project in Bentonville, Arkansas. After designing this couple’s secondary home in Chicago, they asked us to bring the same DMID touch to their long-term residence now that they’ve officially become empty nesters. Our design balances their love of vibrant color with a serene, calming atmosphere - layering in luxurious yet comfortable furnishings, showcasing their extensive art collection, and introducing statement natural stones alongside thoughtfully chosen hues. The result is a reimagined home that feels both inspiring and deeply personal.
THE dining ROOM
We embraced our client’s meaningful furniture collection - pieces like the dining table and buffet they purchased for their first home in England and later brought with them to the states. Against a backdrop of a serene mountain inspired mural in earthy blue tones, the dining room is reimagined as an elegant setting for gathering and hosting.
THE KITCHEN
This once all-white kitchen is being infused with personality and color to reflect our client’s style. We’re introducing a striking Verdevido quartzite countertop paired with a Thassos marble backsplash for a bold yet timeless contrast. In the adjoining breakfast room, a custom corner banquette creates the perfect spot to lounge with a book and cup of tea, anchored by a custom Articolo light fixture above the oval starburst oak dining table, creating an inviting focal point for family gatherings.
THE LIVING ROOM
Continuing the theme of personality and color throughout the home, we reimagined the fireplace wall with coordinating Verdevido quartzite stone from the kitchen, framed by custom millworker with integrated lighting and a vibrant accent for added brightness. A DMID designed EnVie sectional anchors the living area, creating a cozy spot for the couple to relax, surrounded by thoughtful layers of color.
THE PRIMARY BEDROOM
A serene bedroom retreat layered with soft color and texture. An upholstered headboard anchors the space, wrapped in a metallic handwoven wall covering that adds subtle sheen and depth. A custom piece from DMID’s EnVie collection provides the perfect perch - whether slipping on shoes before heading out or pausing for a quiet moment of comfort.
