Reimagined Mediterranean

For this high-powered bachelor in the finance world, home needed to feel like a retreat from the pace of city life—a place to unwind, entertain, and live with ease alongside his three beloved (and sizable) dogs. A passionate sports enthusiast, he envisioned a residence where hosting friends for game day felt effortless, with a kitchen that could handle the crowd and multiple living spaces for casual gathering. The design challenge? Elevate every detail while prioritizing durability and livability.

Bespoke furniture, layered textures, and impactful artwork can be found throughout. Select vintage finds bring soul to the space, while custom pieces tailored to the client’s lifestyle strike a balance between luxury and livability.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen was entirely reimagined within its existing footprint. A striking La Cornue range now anchors the space, flanked by double islands with distinct functions—one featuring integrated dog bowls. A reworked pantry with a built-in smoothie station reflects the client’s health-conscious lifestyle. Taking cues from traditional pie safe cabinets, inset cabinetry features modern mesh panels for a fresh nod to the past.

dining room

We relocated the dining room to a central space featuring an existing two-story fireplace, allowing for more seating and better flow to the kitchen. The former dining area was reimagined as a moody music lounge for intimate entertaining.

pRIMARY BEDROOM

In the primary bedroom, we honored the existing fireplace and arched niches while creating a statement bed wall with upholstered panels and antique mirrors. The room’s generous scale accommodated an Alaskan King bed—an unusually large request—with ease.
